Refunds are usually a sensitive topic, especially in relocation. That is because moving is not a product sitting on a shelf. It involves planning, people, vehicles, time blocks, and preparation that often starts much before the actual shifting day. This page explains how refunds are handled at Eagle Packers and Movers, in a simple and realistic way.
When a customer contacts us and confirms a booking, some work starts immediately. Schedules are blocked. Vehicles may be arranged. Packing materials are planned. Staff availability is considered. That is why refunds cannot always work the same way they do in online shopping.
When a booking is cancelled early, refunds are generally easier to manage. At that stage, work may not have started fully. If packing supplies have not been arranged and vehicles have not been scheduled, there is usually more flexibility in the refund amount. If cancellation happens closer to the shifting date, things change.
Situations where refund amount may be affected include:
- packing materials already purchased
- manpower already assigned
- vehicle already scheduled
- route or permit planning completed
If packing has already started, a full refund is not possible. At that stage, resources have already been used. In such cases, partial refunds may be discussed depending on the situation.
Every case is different.
Sometimes plans change suddenly. We understand that. In such situations, we encourage customers to inform us as early as possible. Early communication always increases the chance of a better refund outcome.
Silence makes things difficult. Conversation helps.
Refunds are not applicable in certain situations. For example:
- if incorrect information was shared by the customer
- if access was denied at pickup or delivery
- if last-minute changes caused service disruption
- if delay was caused by factors outside control
- This is not about blame. It is about practicality.
If a service has already been completed, refunds are generally not applicable. Relocation is a time-based service. Once the work is done, the service cannot be returned.
In some cases, instead of a refund, customers may request rescheduling. This is often easier and more flexible. Date changes are handled based on availability and may involve adjustment charges, but they usually reduce loss for both sides.
Refunds, when approved, are processed through the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on the payment channel and bank timelines. We do not control bank processing speed, but we do initiate refunds promptly once approved.
It is important to understand that Eagle Packers and Movers does not delay refunds intentionally. We review each request carefully, keeping in mind both customer concerns and the work already done.
